B2B Business Development Manager

Position Overview

We're looking for a true sales hunter who thrives on building relationships from the ground up, spots opportunities where others see roadblocks, and loves closing deals that deliver long-term value.

As a B2B Business Development Manager in the Commercial Landscape & Snow Management industry, you will be responsible for generating new business, expanding our market presence, and driving revenue growth. This role is not about maintaining accounts—it's about finding, engaging, and winning new clients through strategic prospecting, consultative selling, and disciplined follow-through.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own your territory: Identify, pursue, and secure new commercial clients through proactive prospecting, networking, cold outreach, and consistent follow-up.
  • Establish trust fast: Engage property managers, facility leaders, developers, and procurement professionals with credibility and confidence.
  • Sell solutions—not price: Use a consultative, value-based approach to uncover needs, address pain points, and craft strategic service proposals.
  • Maintain a disciplined pipeline: Record all activity, leads, and opportunities in CRM with accuracy; forecast monthly and quarterly results with precision.
  • Drive market penetration: Attend industry events, join associations, and position yourself as a trusted advisor within the landscape and snow sectors.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with operations, estimating, and management to ensure proposals align with capabilities and client expectations.
  • Exceed performance goals: Consistently surpass sales quotas, new account targets, and margin objection

Performance Expectations

  • High-volume prospecting and measurable lead generation

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years of B2B business development or sales success, ideally in commercial landscaping, facilities services, construction, or other service-based industries
  • Proven track record of exceeding goals through disciplined prospecting and strong closing ability
  • Ability to sell intangible services based on value and outcomes, not price
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong business acumen and negotiation skills; comfortable engaging decision-makers from operations to executive levels
  • Highly self-motivated, competitive, and accountable
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record

Compensation

  • Competitive base salary + uncapped commission
