As a Armed Security Guard - Education Patrol in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming atmosphere. This armed post requires you to conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the education location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing armed patrol protocols as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disturbances.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and/or observations as required by Allied Universal and the site-specific post orders.
• Communicate professionally with students, staff, visitors, and/or law enforcement as needed.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or incidents in accordance with Allied Universal training and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess a current armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
