Performs a variety of clerical duties of a routine and recurring nature including typing, filing, data entry, payroll entry, receptionist, etc. Assignments are performed independently, are routine repetitive, and follow established practices and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Perform routine clerical assignments in accordance with established procedures and under specific instructions.
May act as a relief for various positions such as Receptionist/Switchboard Operator, Human Resources Coordinator, Data Entry Operator, etc.
Maintains appropriate records, checks data, orders supplies, and prepares standard reports.
May assist in the preparation of expense reports, purchase orders, petty cash accounts, and freight billings.
Uses office machines such as personal computer, typewriter, adding machine, calculator, photocopier, fax machine, and other standard office equipment.
Performs other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Follows standard procedures with allowance for some level of independent judgement.
May participate on project teams as needed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to work unsupervised, data entry skills with accuracy.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple sentences. Ability to speak simple sentences and communicates to co-workers and supervisors.
- Math Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, whole numbers, fractions & decimals. Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, and volume.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
