Overview:
Our client is seeking a
Field Service Engineer
to support hands-on system installations and integrations at customer sites across the U.S. and internationally. This is a
travel-intensive role
(up to 80%) suited for someone who enjoys working in the field, troubleshooting technical issues, and seeing projects through from setup to customer training.
Qualifications:
- Technical certification, associate degree, or equivalent field experience required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong PC, hardware, and troubleshooting skills; exposure to AV systems or PLCs a plus.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 80% (domestic and international).
- Comfortable using tools, lifts, and equipment for installations.
- Excellent communication and customer interaction skills.
- Proven ability to work independently in customer environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, integrate, and test complex hardware and software systems at customer sites.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues involving computers, projectors, and peripheral equipment.
- Coordinate all aspects of installations and on-site activities with minimal supervision.
- Provide end-user training and post-installation support.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and outcomes to internal teams.
- Manage project documentation and ensure systems meet quality standards before delivery.
Additional Details:
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs and work in varying physical settings.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass pre-employment screening may be required.
