Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical, civil, or systems engineering, with experience in project management, research, and system design. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects across manufacturing, construction, and laboratory environments. The Engineer will be responsible for developing and optimizing systems, conducting root cause analysis, and utilizing advanced CAD and simulation tools to drive project success.

Duties

1) Outside communication with customers will be critical.

2) Work with Quality Manager for establishing and documenting procedures for quote requirements.

3) Support to ensure the proper prioritization (planning) of work is considered for quote. Keep the "under promise and over deliver" thought process as timing is factored for customer.

4) Work with Operations Manager for decision making on equipment upgrades and programming updates.

5) Documentation Control (paperless) for libraries to be set up and governed for engineering files and quoting.

6) Support Manufacturing as a liaison of the product when necessary to convey the details of customer's requirement to the application of the task within the operation (bridge the gap).

7) Support the activity that is required for employee improvements through educating the work force for best practices and cadences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field; advanced degrees preferred.
  • Proven experience with project scheduling and management in manufacturing or construction environments.
  • Personal Computing Skills with knowledge of MS Office Suite and CAD/CAM systems.
  • Strong communication skills - both written & oral
  • Highly organized
  • Accuracy and attention to detail with ability to multi-task
  • Ability to retain critical knowledge of QMS systems, Project Management and Machining.
  • Able to identify urgent and/or emerging problems, identify alternative corrective actions, and engage appropriate colleagues in problem resolution.
  • Five (5) years or more of experience in engineering systems, machining or similar role within a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in some facet of project / process management within a manufacturing setting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $48.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
