Job Description
As an
Order Entry Technician
, you will be responsible for entering prescriptions into the Remedi SeniorCare Framework/DocuTrack pharmacy system with both speed and accuracy. You will also communicate with customers on the telephone and will need to respond quickly and courteously to their needs.

Location
:On siteat our closed-door pharmacy Central Green Blvd. STE 300 Houston, TX 77032)

Schedule
:
rotating schedule: 10am-6:30pm, 11:30am-8pm and 1:00pm-9:30pm, rotating holidays/weekends. Role will transition to hybrid after 12 months.

Training
: Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm for 6 weeks

Key Responsibilities
Under the guidance of a pharmacist and in compliance with State law, Order Entry Pharmacy Technicians will be responsible for:

  • Efficient order entry and follow-up
  • Troubleshooting prescription/patient data entry discrepancies
  • Ensuring accurate and timely prescription/patient information input
  • Collaborating with Order Entry leadership to meet department goals
  • Providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Must work with urgency and timeliness

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the State Board of Pharmacyis required (good standing)

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong computer skills
  • Thorough understanding of medical terminology and drug knowledge
  • Math and analytical skills, with a focus on calculations
  • Minimum of two (2) years working in a long-term care pharmacy preferred but not required
