Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and be proficient in various technical skills. This role involves ensuring that all equipment and facilities are maintained to the highest standards, providing a safe and efficient environment for all operations. WE ARE A DRUG FREE WORKPLACE.

Duties

  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers and ohmmeters.
  • Conduct welding tasks as needed for repairs and modifications.
  • Interpret schematics and technical drawings to execute maintenance tasks effectively.
  • Oversee facilities maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Engage in residential painting projects as required to maintain aesthetic standards.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to junior staff during maintenance projects.
  • Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with clients or stakeholders regarding maintenance issues.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure minimal disruption during maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in maintenance roles.
  • Proficiency in electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Experience with programmable logic controllers is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with welding techniques and equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately.
  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance is essential.
  • Supervising experience is preferred for leadership roles within the team.
  • Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
