Summary:

Conducts safety and quality training as well as assist in developing, coordinating, and implementing of occupational health policies and procedures to promote and ensure effective safety operations in the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs safety audits and physical inspection of new equipment, work areas, jobsites, and equipment to identify possible safety issues.
  • Reviews activities that can pose risk/threats to workers' health and safety; recommends and assists in driving continuous improvement to reduce these risks to employee safety.

· Provides personnel with quality and safety-related information such as training sessions, emergency protocols, and proper use of quality and safety equipment.

  • Provides instructional training in policy, procedures, and all regulatory compliance as it relates to forklifts, crane operation, quality, hazard communications, and lockout/tagout; including compliance with any local, state, and federal rules, regulations, and laws.
  • Conducts or coordinates the safety and emergency response training and planning.
  • Responsible for assisting in the timely completion of all regulatory compliance for annual consumption reporting including compliance with any local, state, and federal rules, regulations, and laws.
  • Responsible for identification, storage, and movement of hazardous waste materials, including compliance with any local, state, and federal rules, regulations, and laws.
  • Supports the maintenance team by sourcing, reviewing and providing vendor quotes and information for projects as requested.

Qualifications:

· Extensive knowledge of current company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to conduct training.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

· Maintain current fork truck license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65, $75,000.00 per year
