Production Manager @ Ayer, MA - FTE

  • Candidates must have at least 5 years of supervisory or management experience in manufacturing within the food, beverage, biotech, or pharmaceutical industries, demonstrating familiarity with industry-specific regulations and quality standards.
  • Candidates should have experience working in small to medium-sized companies or subsidiaries within larger enterprises, ideally in growth-stage environments.
  • Candidates must have at least 5 years of progressive supervisory or management experience in food production or medical nutrition manufacturing, including leading production teams, managing schedules, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Evaluate candidates for demonstrated career stability with at least 5 years in manufacturing leadership roles, indicating commitment and ability to support long-term operational goals.
  • Candidates must demonstrate expertise in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies, regulatory compliance (GMP, FDA, OSHA), production scheduling, food safety management, and operation of food manufacturing equipment.
  • Candidates should have at least a high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for a bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may substitute for formal education.
  • Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Oracle NetSuite), Manufacturing Execution Systems (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, Plex Manufacturing Cloud), and food-specific ERP solutions (e.g., JustFood ERP, BatchMaster ERP) to effectively manage production operations and compliance.
  • Look for candidates holding certifications related to food safety and manufacturing compliance, such as HACCP, GMP, or OSHA safety certifications, which support regulatory adherence and quality assurance.
  • Managerial experience is required; candidates should have at least 3-5 years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally managing teams of 5 or more.
