The Associate Director of International Policy will serve as a critical contributor to the International Policy team's policy and advocacy work on trade policy and international engagement broadly, including on initiatives related to tariffs and market access policy, international standards and technical barriers to trade, national security dimensions of trade policy, and other priority issues managed by the International Policy team.Join the NAM and Make an Impact in the Following Ways:Analyze policy developments and data, synthesize information and apply judgement to formulate core policy positions that reflect the core values and priorities of the manufacturing community.Maintain an understanding of swift-changing polices and legislative initiatives to deliver accurate and timely information and assistance to member companies.Communicate complex policy issues clearly and succinctly with a variety of internal and external audiences in both oral presentations and written work products.Provide administrative support for the VP and the International Policy team, including but not limited to support for marquis programming including the NAM Trade Forum and other key International Policy events.Support external engagement including but not limited to member companies, elected officials, executive agencies.Qualifications:A minimum of 5-7 years of related Executive Branch, Association policy development or Capitol Hill experience.Exceptional understanding of trade policy processes. Candidates without a trade policy background will not be considered.Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.Proven ability to work effectively in a fast paced, quality and goal-driven environment.Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no direct reports.Salary Range: $76,000 - $89,000 annually. This salary range represents a good faith estimate of the lowest to the highest salary for this position. The final salary offered will be based on qualifications and experience.
