Steel Project Coordinator

Location: Northeast Houston (near Beltway 8 & 59N) THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITIONSchedule: Monday–Friday

Salary: $20/hr to 40/hr (based on experience) Candidates seeking top pay must demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of the job and be able to perform with minimal assistance.

About Us

Ace Fabricators, Inc. has been a trusted name in structural steel fabrication for over 30 years. We're expanding and seeking experienced Steel Project Coordinators who can confidently manage fabrication workflows and communication.

Important Note

This is not an entry-level position. This role does not involve managing budgets or full construction site operations. Applicants must have direct experience in construction project management, specifically in structural steel fabrication. Candidates without relevant experience may be considered for entry-level role such as assist with material takeoffs for estimating purposes (if position is available), which starts at a lower pay range. A critical requirement: Candidates must be able to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings to effectively manage project scope and execution.

Required Qualifications (for top pay you must have all of the below)

  • Experience coordinating structural steel projects
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam, EJE, Outlook, Excel, and Microsoft 365

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate multiple projects with GCs, vendors, and suppliers
  • Manage schedules, field issues, and client communication
  • Lead weekly team meetings and ensure project milestones are met
  • Handle revisions from customer/steel detailer.
