Job Description

Harborview Hematology- Oncology and Medical Operative Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a Program Coordinator.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Full-time, Days (40 hours per week)

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organize work and appropriately prioritize patient care and/or projects with occasional assistance from supervisor

  • Objectively assist in developing systems that improve responsiveness to patients

  • Exhibit well-developed critical thinking skills, particularly in ambiguous situations

  • Demonstrate ability to operate with minimal day-to-day direction or oversight

  • Coordinate complex scheduling of diagnostic procedures and consultations.  Work with PSS to schedule less complex referrals as well as appointments with scheduling directions in place

  • Facilitate scheduling of urgent referrals and procedures, working closely with physicians to triage, using knowledge of procedural-specific diagnoses, CPT codes

  • Triage patient phone calls according to severity of need; follow through and resolve patient requests in a timely manner

  • Collaborate with Business Operations Supervisor and PSS to create, update and maintain all clinic templating that meets the needs of patients, clinic staff and providers

  • Provide follow up coordination at check out on clinic days

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty

  • Equivalent education and or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as license, certification, and or registration
