The UW Medical Center - Heart Institute has an outstanding opportunity for a Full-Time, Day Shift, Program Coordinator/Scheduler.
WORK SCHEDULE

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and prioritize incoming referrals from multiple sources using their knowledge of each physician's specialized skill set
- Triage incoming referrals to assure the appropriate specialist will be reviewing referrals
- Handle intake of each referral requests, ensuring complete information is received and entered into the electronic medical record system in a timely manner
- Schedule initial patient appointments either in person or via Telemedicine based on provide and patient preference
- Manage and resolve a high volume of phone inquiries and messages
- Review appointment follow-up requirements and expectations with patients. Educate them to ensure adequate understanding of the purpose of each appointment and follow-up recommendations
- Offer financial assistance to self-pay and underinsured patients. Provide them the necessary steps to apply for financial counseling
- Serve as a primary program contact to other departments, patients, providers outside facilities
REQUIREMENTS
- High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty
- Three years of Patient Support Service experience
- OR
- An equivalent combination of education/experience
