Louisville, Kentucky, United States Schmidt Associates Full time $60,000 - $75,000 per year

Client Liaison: Healthcare

For over four decades, Schmidt Associates has built our entire approach on the idea of Servant Leadership. As servant leaders, our design team seeks to deeply understand our clients and put their mission and goals above our own. This ensures that each design reflects the client, not us. It means clients get the best possible results toward accomplishing their mission.

Our full-service firm has offices in Indianapolis, IN, and Louisville, KY. Our work is woven into communities through our six design studios: K-12 Education, Higher Education, Healthcare, Workplace, Community, and Lifestyle.

Our team of professionals includes architects, MEPTC engineers, interior designers, energy engineers, landscape architects, construction administration professionals, and administrative and support staff—all working together to serve clients' needs, build stronger communities, and improve lives.

Schmidt Associates is looking for a Client Liaison to focus on our Healthcare Studios. This role will be responsible for acquiring clients and maintaining long-term client relationships. Strong skills in marketing and entrepreneurial leadership are necessary. The ideal candidate will lead the Owner in establishing project parameters and strategy while ensuring that client satisfaction is achieved.

Key Responsibilities for Healthcare Projects:
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with healthcare organizations and community stakeholders to identify new business opportunities and foster client loyalty.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through the strategic planning, design, and delivery processes for their facilities.
  • Lead the development of project strategies that align with the specific needs of healthcare facilities, ensuring solutions are tailored to their unique requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver projects that promote operational efficiency, sustainability, and improved outcomes for both students and patients.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends in Healthcare design, such as modern learning environments, wellness-focused design, infection control measures, and adaptable spaces.
Qualifications:
Professional experience in the AEC industry is required, with a proven track record in the Healthcare sectors. The position demands a high competency in client service, strategic thinking, and facility design. The ability to secure new clients while nurturing existing relationships is essential. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and energetic with strong communication and organizational skills.

Experience/Education:
  • Minimum of 10 years professional experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
  • PE or AIA Licensure required
  • Project Management experience a plus
If you have a passion for shaping spaces that inspire learning and healing, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact in Healthcare.
