Columbus, Ohio, United States Bibliotheca Full time $60,000 - $75,000 per year

As an Account Executive (Level 1) specializing in library solutions, your primary responsibility will be to drive hardware and software sales to public and academic libraries across Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia, and Tennessee. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in expanding our market presence and establishing strong relationships with libraries to meet and exceed sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

To be successful in this role, individuals must demonstrate satisfactory performance of the essential duties outlined herein; additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.   • Build and maintain lasting relationships with clients and partners by understanding their focus and anticipating their needs.
  • Plan in-person meetings with the defined customer and prospect set while also utilizing virtual meeting tools to progress the sales cycle and present solutions.
  • Expected to have 5-8 meaningful client meetings per week.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet organizational objectives.
  • A comprehensive suite of products including hardware, software, digital, mobile, subscriptions, and services.
  • Stay current with company offerings and industry trends
  • Utilize HubSpot daily to manage the territory business. Prepare quotes and close opportunities in a timely manner, as defined by manager.
  • Participate in 3 – 5 events or tradeshows per year.

Skills Mastery

  • Strategic Selling - Understand the needs and strategic direction of all clients and prospects, develop relationships with key decision makers, and demonstrate the value of Bibliotheca solutions in terms of achieving defined library outcomes.
  • Consultative Selling – actively listen to the customer, asking probing questions to uncover their challenges and goals, and then tailor a solution(s) that meets their specific requirements.
  • Time Management – Strong skills to manage personal effectiveness.

Communication and Internal Cooperation

  • Own the customer input, feedback, and demonstration/presentations for bids. Work cooperatively with manager and bid team to provide content details for responses.
  • Work cooperatively with internal support teams such as product management, solution consultants, bids team, service renewals, customer service, project management, and technical support team.
  • Actively communicate with manager on prospects, activities, and monthly/quarterly/annual objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Education Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/ university in Sales, Business, or related degree.
  • 2+ years' experience in sales or account management, preferably in technology arena.
  • Computer/ Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in common mobile & business technologies (HubSpot, Office 365, etc)

Required Skills:

  • A genuine interest in the library industry.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Confidence and a positive attitude to work within a regional sales team.
  • Ability to think quickly and to react with good business sense to customer requests.
  • Work collaboratively and efficiently to deliver projects by agreed deadlines.
  • Possesses exceptional attention to detail and is committed to delivering quality output.
  • Able to quickly learn new technology applications, company products, and library industry.

Working Conditions

  • Tavel requirements- Anticipated travel is approximately 50% in assigned territory, trade shows, etc.
  • Work environment – remote when not traveling
  • Physical requirements if any- Travel and standing/ sitting for long periods of time.
