Alana Bass, CPA PC is looking to hire a Senior Bookkeeper to join our staff due to the incredible growth we have experienced over the last few years.

The Senior Bookkeeper will work closely with the leadership team of a Senior Accountant Manager, two Accountant Managers and two other Senior Bookkeepers. Responsibilities will include Supervising a team of Bookkeepers who are working on categorization and bookkeeping projects and answering any questions or problems they encounter while maintaining our client's books. Other responsibilities will include Onboarding new clients, handling payroll, payroll taxes, sales taxes, month end close and year end close.

You will need to know job costing (both projects and sub customers), be QBO certified and be willing to sit for and pass the QBO advanced certification within the first 60 days of working here. We are also looking for you, if not QBO payroll certified, to become QBO payroll certified within the first 120 days.

In addition to the Accountant Managers and your fellow Senior Bookkeepers, you will have a team of Tax professionals on the tax side of the business who are also capable of assisting you with any problems that you may encounter.

This position is remote but will require open channels of communication with the others on the Leadership team as well as the bookkeepers who are working with you. We use Zoom, Financial Cents, QBO, Drake, Right Apps, Zoho and Sharefile extensively.

While we look to promote from within, we do not have anyone at present who can step into this role so we are going outside the firm to find a candidate.

This is a full time contract position paying $25/hour.
