As a senior IT systems analyst on the Business Built Applications team, you'll collaborate with IT, business, and data scientist teams to create, maintain, and evaluate AI and emerging tech applications for our CRM team and customers. In this new role, you'll lead efforts to shape the future of monitoring by embedding advanced Splunk capabilities, establishing best practices, and driving data analysis. You'll partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide guidance on leveraging dashboards for actionable insights, and track key performance metrics and SLAs. As a trusted advisor, you'll foster a culture of observability and proactive monitoring while advancing technology and innovation within Progressive.

This is a remote position for US-based work only.

Must-have qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology, or related discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Math, Information Systems) and a minimum of four years of related work experience designing, developing, programming and/or supporting IT Systems and applications.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of six years of related work experience designing, developing, programming and/or supporting IT Systems and applications may be accepted.

Preferred skills

  • Proven expertise in data analysis using Splunk, including setting up and maintaining a robust monitoring environment, enabling advanced observability capabilities, and driving actionable insights through dashboards and metrics
  • Strong SQL Server skills and familiarity with MongoDB for database management
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, including system monitoring, root cause analysis, and driving operational improvements
  • Ability to thrive in Agile Scrum environments with high learning agility, experience with requirements gathering, and a positive approach to AI and emerging technologies
  • Skilled in trend analysis and translating complex data into actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences

Compensation

  • $107,000-$119,500/year depending on position level and experience
  • Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
