We are partnered with a digital consultancy that is looking for a Network/Software Engineer who specializes in Java. This position starts as a 6-month contract with the potential to extend or convert into a full-time role. This role sits fully on-site in Dallas, Texas.

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Java development with a strong understanding of Java Core.
  • Experience with network (IP, iptables/nftables, TCP/UDP) skills
  • Hands-on experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, or Hibernate.
  • Proficiency in RESTful web services and API development.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience with SQL and database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.

Set Yourself Apart With

  • Experience in microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB).
  • Exposure to event-driven architectures using Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Certifications in Java or cloud technologies.
