Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage the kitchen operations

- Plan and prepare meals according to dietary guidelines and restrictions

- Ensure food quality and presentation meets the highest standards

- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and dietary aides

- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed

- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations

- Collaborate with other departments, such as dining services or food service, to coordinate meal service

Requirements:

- Previous experience working in a kitchen or food industry setting

- Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures

- Culinary training or certification is preferred

- Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively manage a team

- Excellent organizational and time management skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

- Proficient knife skills for food preparation

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
