Your New Role

To support the Director People Development to develop and implement processes and programs designed to maximize employee performance, and engagement. The People Development Manager will play a key role in enhancing the skills, knowledge, capabilities, and overall potential of individuals within our US Studio, Tours & Retail teams. This position assists in creating and delivering best-in-class training and development programs. A positive force for change and growth and development from the design, implementation and evaluation of programs that facilitate the professional development and continuous learning of team members at all levels.

Your Role Accountabilities

OPERATIONS/PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Owner of the monthly Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood new starter training program, continuously reviewing to ensure it remains best in class. Includes but not limited to:
  • Tracking & updating monthly training plans
  • Creating and tracking delegate lists to monitor attendance to all sessions
  • Delivery of Creating Exceptional Experiences sessions as part of Tours & Retail onboarding
  • Facilitating the post induction 8 Week Catch Ups to monitor onboarding effectiveness and identify areas for development within the onboarding program.
  • Owner of the Studio Operation Induction/Onboarding training plan across the wider organization to ensure new starters across the studio operation functions are receiving a best-in-class induction to the company
  • Coordinate and deliver Welcome to WBD sessions for all new starters
  • Build strong relationships with WBD Learning Team to leverage similarities, effectively scale offerings, share learnings and champion the WBD Learning leadership suite of programs such as Ignite, Fuel and Leadership Bites across the organization.
  • Engages external trainers for ad hoc training as required across WBSL e.g. Project Management, Managing Mental Health in the Workplace, Managing team members with additional needs etc.
  • Partners with P&C & the Senior Leadership Team to create and deliver bespoke Line Manager training in line with business requirements
  • Support both Director People Development and Director P&C with ad hoc projects as required
  • Partner with Tour Managers to create ongoing front-line training as required e.g. Tour Closedown periods
  • Partner with Director People Development to design and deliver bespoke Leadership training from Team Lead/Supervisor through to Senior Management level across the Studio, Tour & Retail divisions
  • Ensure annual global training roadmap is rolled out locally to meet all set objectives including completion of all compliance training
  • Build relationships with all levels of Leadership across the wider Studio Operations and Worldwide Tours & Retail Experiences Community
  • Create and deliver on the job training that to enhance skills necessary to meet the competency requirements at all levels
  • Collate data to measure and report on the effectiveness of training delivered
  • Collaborate with People Development Managers in other markets to share best practice and experiences and leverage scale of wider team

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of prior experience in a related field (media, entertainment, business development)
  • Proven ability to design and deliver training in person and virtually, at all levels
  • Proven ability to coach others
  • CIPD Certificate in Learning & Development or equivalent
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload
  • Enthusiastic and motivated
  • Excellent communication skills, able to influence at all levels
  • Team player
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work; willing to learn and get involved with duties outside of day to day job description
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to take initiative using own discretion and skills and work with limited supervision in a pressured environment
  • Professional, diplomatic and confident in dealing with team members at all levels
  • Qualified TSDI or DISC facilitator desirable

Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $100, $185,770.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
