Shift: Day Shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday)

Hours per Week: 40

Pay Rate: $23 – $29/hour

About the Role

We're on the hunt for a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join a dynamic team in San Ysidro, California for a 13-week contract. If spreadsheets make you happy, accuracy is your superpower, and you get a thrill from balancing ledgers to the penny—this is the role for you

You'll play a key role in keeping the financial heartbeat of the organization running smoothly. Plus, when the day's work is done, you're just minutes from San Diego's beaches, shops, and incredible tacos (trust us, this town takes tacos seriously).

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Process invoices accurately and efficiently while adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Match purchase orders, invoices, and receipts for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and process check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
  • Maintain vendor files, resolve discrepancies, and respond to inquiries promptly.
  • Assist with month-end closing and reconciliation of accounts payable transactions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Accounts Payable or a related finance role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Ability to handle high-volume invoice processing.
  • Strong data entry accuracy and time management.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and financial best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
