Position Summary:

The Electric Service Manager will oversee and lead our electrical service department. This role is responsible for managing daily operations, supervising service technicians, ensuring high-quality service delivery, maintaining customer satisfaction, and driving department growth and profitability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Supervision:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of electricians and service technicians.

  • Schedule, coordinate, and dispatch service calls efficiently.

  • Ensure team adherence to safety protocols and company standards.

  • Customer Relations:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key service clients.

  • Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.

  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and build long-term client relationships.

  • Operational Oversight:

  • Plan and manage service department operations, including budgeting, staffing, and workflow.

  • Monitor job progress, productivity, and performance metrics.

  • Implement and maintain service processes, policies, and procedures.

  • Sales & Business Development:

  • Identify opportunities for additional service work and upsell company offerings.

  • Support the sales team with technical knowledge and project estimation.

  • Participate in contract negotiation and proposal development as needed.

  • Compliance & Quality Control:

  • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes.

  • Perform quality checks and inspections of completed work.

  • Maintain necessary documentation, permits, and records.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in the electrical service industry, preferably in a leadership or management role.

  • Completed Electrical vocational training or equivalent military training preferred.

  • Valid Electrical License (Journeyman or Master, depending on state/local requirements).

  • Understanding and thorough knowledge of electrical theory and methods, materials, tools, equipment, and systems used in the electrical trade.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and safety regulations.

  • Experience with estimating, quoting, and project management.

  • Knowledge of scheduling software or field service management platforms. (e.g., ServiceTitan.)

  • Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, contractors, and other team members.

  • Ability to lead a team, resolve conflicts, and handle multiple tasks.

  • Proficient in using service management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • The physical ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolds, stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, stoop, crouch, crawl, squat, kneel, grasp, manipulate hand and power tools.

  • Possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record.

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
