Assistant Project Manager- Electrical

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our team and support the organization, while providing direct assistance to the Project Managers to help ensure projects run smoothly from start to finish. Construction knowledge, computer and organizational skills are a must.

Primary Duties:

  • Liaising with project stakeholders concerning project details and deliverables

  • Assisting in the planning and implementation of projects

  • Assign responsibilities and mentor project team

  • Helping to coordinate and manage project tasks and deliverables

  • Tracking and reporting project progress

  • Stay updated on industry standards, emerging technologies, and best practices.

  • Work directly with project managers and project leads to execute project goals

  • Promote and enforce a safe working environment

  • Satisfy customers' needs to develop repeat business

  • Oversee various aspects of projects and provide direct assistance to provide timely project execution

  • Performing other duties assigned by the Project Manager in an orderly and efficient manner

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work with multiple discipline projects

  • Decision making ability and leadership skills

  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles and concepts.

  • Internship or academic projects related to electrical engineering are a plus

  • Possess a growth mindset, strong work ethic, pleasant attitude

Education: High School Diploma or GED with preferred vocational or other technical school, certification, training, or apprenticeship beyond high school.

Experience: 1-3 years' experience with commercial electrical projects required.

Licenses, Certifications or Registrations: Employee must have a valid driver's license if operating a company vehicle or their own vehicle for work purposes.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be traverse and able to access all areas of the jobsite
  • Must be able to travel to jobsites in multiple states
  • Standing for prolonged periods of time, frequent bending, and squatting
  • Ability to work on step ladders and extension ladders
