Alma is seeking a mission-driven Senior Full-Stack Engineer II with focus on frontend to join our team.  We are dedicated to building tools and services which help our providers more easily manage and grow their practice. In this role, you will be building features that solve real problems for mental health providers. The ideal candidate is able to recognize that successful software development requires communication, experimentation, and iteration.  

On this scaling team, you will have a strong hand in defining Alma's clinical documentation features. The ideal person for this role loves to collaborate, able to work full-stack with focus on frontend, and leverages this skill set to build amazing digital experiences.   

What You'll Do:
(60%) Work full-stack across our code base with focus on frontend work(10%) Plan complex multi-team projects with stakeholders and guide execution and delivery (10%) Own the team's technical execution, goal setting, and prioritization practices(10%) Mentor software engineers(10%) Go beyond the team to impact the domain's practicesHow You'll Do It:
Gain a deep understanding of what Alma providers do, how they operate, and where their pain points areDesign, develop, and implement maintainable and scalable product features using front and back end web technologies (React, Typescript, Python, Django, MySQL)Develop both provider-facing and internal-facing features around clinical documentationCollaborate with Alma managers, PMs, and designers to conceptualize and build solutions for practical problems facing Alma providersEnsure applications and services meet Alma's standards for software including performance, scalability, and securityWho You Are:
You have 6-10 years of experience as an engineer with a proven history of working across the stack with focus on frontend, and building products at scaleYou enjoy collaborating with engineering and product leaders on complex projectsYou have extensive experience with web technologies. We are language agnostic in our interviews but require experience with one or more common web frameworksYou have a strong understanding of accessibility and security complianceYou've implemented automated testing platforms and unit testsYou have a proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GitYou enjoy customer-centered software development and collaborating closely with a team of engineers, designers, and product managersYou possess a desire to experiment, (succeed or fail), and use research and data, where appropriate, to make data-driven decisionsBenefits

Salary Band: $175,000-$200,000
