About the Role

Southcorp Group is a growing, vertically integrated real estate investment and management company with a portfolio that includes multifamily communities, assisted living facilities, and residential assets across several Southeast markets. Our property management division, River South Properties, oversees the day-to-day management of these assets.

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven leader to take ownership of portfolio performance, team development, and operational excellence. As Director of Portfolio and Asset Management, you will oversee daily operations, financial outcomes, and asset strategy across multifamily, senior living, and residential properties. This role offers regular access to senior leadership and the opportunity to help shape systems, people, and culture as the company continues to grow.

This position includes performance-based bonus potential in the range of 10 to 15 percent annually.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead operations and performance across multifamily, assisted living, and residential assets.
  • Supervise and develop on-site managers and maintenance teams to maintain accountability and high standards.
  • Review and manage budgets, financials, and key performance indicators to drive strong NOI and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee capital planning, project management, vendor relations, and service quality.
  • Work directly with leadership on strategy, forecasting, and portfolio optimization.
  • Partner with accounting, construction, and administrative teams to maintain alignment and seamless execution.
  • Support and strengthen company culture through clear communication, leadership presence, and shared goals.

Qualifications

  • Ten or more years of experience in property, asset, or portfolio management. Multifamily experience is required; assisted living or mixed-asset experience is a plus.
  • Track record of managing multiple properties and teams with full P&L responsibility.
  • Strong financial, operational, and organizational ability.
  • Proven leadership and communication skills with the ability to mentor and motivate teams.
  • Experience with AppFolio or similar property management software preferred.
  • Ability to travel regionally as needed, typically once or twice per month.
