Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fine dining or catering environments. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality meals to our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high quality and presentation standards.
  • Assist with menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for seasonal dishes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Handle food safely and responsibly, following proper food handling procedures.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management.
  • Participate in catering events as required, assisting with meal preparation and serving.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food industry.
  • Strong culinary skills with proficiency in cooking techniques and knife skills.
  • Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus.
  • Familiarity with menu planning and meal preparation for various dietary needs.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
