About the Role

We're looking for a reliable, fast, detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our CookUnity production kitchen. This role is all about precision: following recipes exactly, weighing every component, and keeping an organized, clean station. You'll be responsible for prepping ingredients for high-volume, chef-driven dishes.

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily prep lists with accuracy and speed
  • Weigh all ingredients and components precisely according to standardized recipes
  • Wash, peel, chop, slice, and cook ingredients as needed
  • Label, store, and rotate ingredients properly (FIFO)
  • Maintain strict cleanliness and food-safety standards
  • Assist with batch cooking, portioning, and packing of mise en place (no vacuum sealing required)
  • Communicate clearly with chefs and leads to keep production moving
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely (knives, slicers, blenders, etc.)

Requirements

  • 1+ year experience in a professional kitchen (prep or line)
  • Excellent knife skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow recipes and weights with zero shortcuts
  • Able to lift 40–50 lbs and stand for long periods
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Punctual, dependable, and a team player
  • Food handler's license a plus

Descripción del Puesto

Buscamos un Prep Cook responsable, rápido y muy detallista para unirse a nuestra cocina de producción en CookUnity. Este puesto se trata de precisión: seguir recetas exactamente, pesar cada componente y mantener una estación organizada y limpia. Serás responsable de preparar ingredientes para platos de alto volumen creados por chefs.

Responsabilidades

  • Completar la lista diaria de preparación con rapidez y precisión
  • Pesar todos los ingredientes y componentes exactamente según las recetas estandarizadas
  • Lavar, pelar, cortar, picar y cocinar ingredientes según sea necesario
  • Etiquetar, almacenar y rotar ingredientes correctamente (FIFO)
  • Mantener estrictas normas de limpieza y seguridad alimentaria
  • Apoyar con la cocción por lotes, el porcionado y el empaque de mise en place (no se requiere envasado al vacío)
  • Comunicarte claramente con chefs y supervisores para mantener el flujo de producción
  • Operar el equipo de cocina de manera segura (cuchillos, rebanadoras, licuadoras, etc.)

Requisitos

  • 1+ año de experiencia en una cocina profesional (prep o línea)
  • Excelentes habilidades con el cuchillo y gran atención al detalle
  • Capacidad para seguir recetas y pesos sin atajos
  • Capacidad para levantar 40–50 lbs y estar de pie por largos periodos
  • Comodidad en un ambiente de alto volumen y ritmo rápido
  • Puntualidad, responsabilidad y actitud de trabajo en equipo
  • Licencia de manipulador de alimentos es un plus
