Job Summary:
Join the Digital Fleet & Operations Solutions (DF&OS) team in Cat Digital and play a key supporting role in the delivery of complex digital projects. As a Senior Digital Project Manager, you will assist in planning, organizing, and monitoring project activities, ensuring quality standards are met, and timelines are communicated. You'll work closely with product managers, stakeholders, and technical teams to help deliver high-quality products for dealer and customer-facing digital applications.

What You Will Do:

  • Support day-to-day project activities, including creating project plans, tracking schedules and deliverables under the direction of senior project managers.
  • Assist in developing contingency plans for potential risks.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure service expectations and quality standards are met.
  • Monitor project progress and escalate significant deviations to senior leadership.
  • Contribute to project documentation and reporting.
  • Contribute to the preparation and distribution of project documentation and reports.

What You Will Have:

  • Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Working knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
  • Project Administration: Working knowledge of project administration best practices and ability to use organizational strategies, practices and tools for administering projects.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Working knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • IT Project Control and Reporting: Working knowledge of project control and reporting; ability to monitor the vital signs of an IT project while managing its progress and delivery schedule.
  • IT Project Management: Extensive knowledge of project management; ability to plan, organize, monitor and control IT projects using appropriate technical resources.

Considerations For Top Candidates:

  • A college or university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Business, or a closely related discipline or equivalent experience preferred
  • 5+ years of experience supporting engineering, technical, or digital project teams (Agile environment preferred).
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar New Product Introduction (NPI / dNPI) processes and tools.
  • Proficiency in Power BI and Excel to build dashboards and reporting
  • Experience using MS Copilot across M365 apps to assist with automating processes
  • Experience with project management concepts, including scheduling, planning, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with software development tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Aha, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with diverse teams across a matrixed organization.
  • PMP or Scrum Master certification is desirable but not required.

Additional Information:
This position has the option to be based out of either our Chicago, IL; Peoria, IL; Broomfield, CO, or Dallas, TX offices.

Summary Pay Range:

$106, $165,840.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
