Senior Scada Project Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES
- Lead utility-scale wind and solar projects along with the RRC team
- Conduct the full civil, electrical, substation, transmission, SCADA, structural, geotechnical, and survey designs/services of solar and wind projects including site planning (wind, solar, substation, transmission, etc.), access road layout, and construction support
- Build relationships with clients, manage client expectations with project engineers, coordinating multiple schedules, and monitor project performance
- Manage a minimum of 3 project managers and assistant project managers
- Develop proposals including writing and/or reviewing technical specifications, directing designers and drafters on drawing requirements, and developing clarifications and exceptions as well as technical responses
- Manage schedules, budgets, information flow, client needs, and coordination between internal teams
- Interface with internal and external team members such as electrical engineers, electrical designers, civil engineers, drafters, project managers, and support organizations
- Work with all disciplines to manage the flow of information
- Discuss project requirements with the client while delivering value engineering
- Monitor and control cost of design while managing client and team expectations
- Safeguard client needs and ensure expectations are clear
- Be available and responsive to clients and team members, even after normal work hours
- Understand and work collaboratively with different personalities and styles including motivating teams
- Review contracts and overall project accounting and billing and monitor cost of all electrical projects
- Mentor project coordinators and project managers
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- Bachelors or Master's Degree in Engineering with a renewable energy focus
- Established renewable energy business client base
- Electrical utility experience
- Experience as a Project Manager in renewable energy systems such as Wind and PV solar systems
- PMP certification
- Battery Storage experience
- Construction experience

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in related field with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the engineering consulting field
- Multidiscipline engineering management experience in electrical, civil, substation, transmission, solar, and/or wind
- Contract negotiation experience
- Personnel management experience and strong mentoring desire
- Ability to motivate people and collaborate in a team environment
- Self-motivated and organized
- Ability to develop and implement standards and structured programs
- Good computer skills, including knowledge of client management software and Microsoft Project
