About the Role

Bennett Truck Center is growing fast, and we're looking to bring on our first dedicated Account Specialist. This position will be responsible for setting up, managing, and improving all financial recordkeeping processes. You'll handle day-to-day bookkeeping, reporting, and will also take the lead in establishing and maintaining company budgets for the first time in BTC history.

This role is perfect for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to build a system from the ground up in a family-run, fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

  • Manage all daily bookkeeping (A/R, A/P, bank reconciliation, credit card entries, etc.)
  • Process vendor payments, track purchase orders, and match invoices
  • Record customer payments, deposits, and reconcile bank accounts
  • Maintain accurate records for parts, labor, and service transactions
  • Create and manage a working budget plan for all departments (parts, service, labor)
  • Generate monthly and quarterly financial reports for management
  • Assist with tax prep, year-end close, and coordination with CPA
  • Identify and correct discrepancies in accounts and vendor invoices
  • Track expenses and cost trends to help improve profitability

What You'll Bring

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping best practices
  • Experience with QuickBooks (or similar accounting software)
  • Comfort working with Excel / Google Sheets for budget creation and reporting
  • Familiarity with purchase orders, invoices, and reconciliations
  • Detail-oriented mindset and ability to self-manage tasks
  • Prior experience in a small business or dealership-style environment is a plus
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work closely with management
