Located at CompuNet's Core Lab (Moraine, OH)Full-Time Day Shift (5:00 AM - 1:30 PM)Position Summary:The SR cytology process coordinator performs all of the functions of a cytology gynecologic technical assistant. These include, but are not limited to, specimen handling, processing, data entry, client calls, and other duties as assigned. The Process coordinator will also assist supervisors and cytotechnologists with daily duties including CAP inspection readiness, training new staff, and other duties as assigned. The Gynecological Process Coordinator must be self-motivated, reliable, and be able to work with other team members.Responsibilities:Performs all the duties of Technical assistant.With direction from the Cytology Manager assist in writing policies and procedures involving Cytology processing. Update and review with all staff members as needed.Conduct cytology processing training of new employees and staff training for new procedures. Assist in developing competency standards and assure compliance among technical assistant staff.Handle client related questions and problems in a courteous and efficient manner and communicate issues to management as needed.Promote positive communication with clients, coworkers, and affiliated hospital staff.Assist with CAP inspection readiness.Assist with management clerical functions including HPV pending list and CoPath pap pending list.Assist with sending of blocks and slides when requested by Pathology office at MVH.Handles specimens in accordance with quality and safety regulations to ensure accurate cytologic test results.Complies with all company, department and regulatory policies and procedures, which include compliance and safety.Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the department and organization by performing other duties as assigned.Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent.Data entry experience preferred.Customer service experience preferred.Knowledge of Windows based programs helpful.A minimum of 5 years of Gynecologic Cytology Processing experience.Ability to work with a team.Physical & Safety Demands:Repetitive motion tasks.Sitting for extended periods.Light lifting (
