We are seeking a detail-driven and highly organized Production Scheduler to keep our fast-paced manufacturing environment running efficiently and on schedule. This role is critical to balancing customer priorities, machine capacity, staffing, and workflow across a high-mix, low-volume job shop environment.
The Production Scheduler will coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly production activities, optimize scheduling strategies, and maintain clear communication with all departments to ensure deadlines are met and jobs flow smoothly. The Production Scheduler will play a key role in improving planning accuracy, reducing bottlenecks, and helping the entire operation perform at its best.

Work Schedule:
· 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
· Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 5:00pm. Friday: 7:30am - 11:30am

Essential Functions
· Develop, maintain, and adjust the master production schedule for all machining and secondary operations.
· Prioritize jobs based on customer delivery requirements, machine availability, and workflow efficiency.
· Coordinate closely with plant management, programming, quality, purchasing, and customer service.
· Monitor work-in-process (WIP) daily and adjust schedules to resolve delays, bottlenecks, or resource constraints.
· Track job progress and ensure accurate status updates are communicated internally.
· Analyze production capacity, load, and staffing to support both short-term and long-term planning.
· Prepare and distribute daily production schedules to machining and support departments.
· Support on-time delivery goals by proactively identifying risks and implementing corrective actions.
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to workflow, scheduling accuracy, and planning efficiency.
· Maintain scheduling data and KPIs to support reporting and performance improvement.
Requirements
· Three years of scheduling, production planning, or coordination experience in a job shop or low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment.
· Advanced skill level with Microsoft Excel and other planning tools
· Experience with ERP/MRP systems (experience in JobBOSS a plus).
· Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
· Strong understanding of machining processes, manufacturing workflows, and job shop dynamics.
· Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks at once.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments.
· Commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
· Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods.
· Occasional bending, stooping, and lifting required.
· Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds.
