Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are cleaned and sanitized to uphold our high standards of food safety and hygiene. This position is essential for supporting our food service operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area and kitchen workspace.
  • Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables and assembling ingredients.
  • Support banquet operations by ensuring timely cleaning of dishes used during events.
  • Perform bussing duties by clearing tables and transporting dirty dishes to the kitchen.
  • Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during peak service times.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to management promptly.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary practices is a plus.
  • Experience in catering or banquet services is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures and sanitation standards within a kitchen setting is beneficial.
