Job Summary:
Develops, implements, and maintains CAD automation solutions to streamline processes to help with the development and designs of various types of HVAC equipment.

Essential Responsibilities/Activities

  • Assists in the development of 2D drafting/design tools to improve efficiency within the Engineering department.
  • Supports conceptual and preliminary models/drawings to be used for development of product.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering department and other teams to understand project requirements.
  • Optimize processes to enhance performance, productivity, and user experience.
  • Maintain existing engineering records and designs.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of automation scripts & tools to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with other engineers, management, and the creative departments to determine design solutions.
  • Aides in communication with the Design/Drafting teams to maintain standards.
  • Travels, when necessary, for product development at other AAON plants.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Four-year degree in Computer Science (or similar field of study) or Four years of industry experience in similar technical field.
  • Experience using Python, VBA, C# or other programming languages.
  • Experience using computer-aided design such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or SolidEdge is a plus.
  • Proficiency in utilizing a distributed version control system, particularly Git, with in a team setting.

  • Lift up to 50lbs.
  • Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours.
