Position Overview

As a
Client Accounting Services Senior
, you'll play a key role in managing the financial operations of our clients while acting as a trusted business advisor. You'll oversee day-to-day accounting, deliver timely and accurate financial reports, and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and insight through technology and process improvements. This role provides a path to increased client responsibility and leadership within our growing CAS practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial statements and management reports.
  • Review general ledger activity, reconciliations, and journal entries prepared by staff or clients.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide insight into business performance and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis for client engagements.
  • Lead client onboarding, including setup of accounting systems, processes, and internal controls.
  • Serve as a primary client contact, building strong relationships through proactive communication and responsive service.
  • Supervise, train, and review work of staff accountants and offshore team members as applicable.
  • Collaborate with tax, assurance, and advisory professionals to ensure seamless service delivery and consistent client experience.
  • Support implementation of cloud-based tools and automation for client accounting functions (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, , Expensify).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • CPA license or progress toward CPA strongly preferred.
  • 3–6 years of accounting experience, ideally within public accounting or outsourced client services.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based accounting platforms and related applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial clients.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple clients, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
