Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher/Busser to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role is essential in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring that our guests have an exceptional dining experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and a commitment to cleanliness and efficiency.

Duties

  • Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, and cooking equipment to maintain a clean kitchen environment.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of dining areas for service, including bussing tables promptly after guests leave.
  • Ensure that all kitchen areas are kept clean, organized, and free of debris throughout the shift.
  • Support food preparation tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables or assembling dishes under the guidance of culinary staff.
  • Handle food safely and adhere to all health regulations regarding food handling and sanitation.
  • Assist with banquet or catering events by preparing necessary items and maintaining cleanliness during service.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and perform repetitive tasks as required.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt within various roles in the culinary field, including food preparation and bussing duties.
