Our team is looking for an AR/AP Specialist to help manage the flow of money in and out of the business – keeping our books clean, vendors paid, and customers billed accurately.

From processing vendor invoices to tracking receivables, the AR/AP Specialist plays a vital behind-the-scenes role in keeping projects moving smoothly. This role supports nearly every department – communicating with suppliers, teammates, and customers to ensure timelines are met and financial records are precise. Qualifications:

·  High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or bachelor's in business, finance, or a related field is a plus.

· Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, office administration, or job costing (preferred)

· A love of working with people and a high level of professional integrity

Skills (Required):

· Excellent organization skills and attention to detail

· Computer proficiency – QuickBooks, Excel, MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat

· Creative problem-solving and the ability to follow through independently

· Strong communication skills – both written and verbal

· Effective time-management and ability to meet deadlines

Skill (Preferred):

· Experience with CRM or project management software

· Spanish language skills are a bonus, but not required

· Understanding of job costing, construction billing, or vendor management

· A background in construction, trades, or service-based businesses is helpful, but not necessary – curiosity and a willingness to learn are more important

Job Description:

At Rhoden Roofing, we believe in 'ownership' of job functions: that ultimate accountability for different elements of our business and customer experience is 'owned' by exactly one person on our team. As the AR/AP Specialist, you will be responsible for:

Accounts Payable Processing (50%)

· Process external, internal invoices and ACH payments with accuracy

· Ensure integrity of and process outgoing payments and cash flow.

· Request W9s and other documentation to ensure authorized payments.

· Work to resolve vendor statement or Invoice issues promptly and courteously.

· Process weekly payment for subcontractors

Accounts Receivable Processing (25%)

· Receive and record all cash, checks, credit card and ACH payments.

· Daily deposits (in house).

· Record customer receivables.

· Generate bi-weekly statements for all customers and organizations.

· Provide excellent customer service to customers in tracking and collecting past due accounts.

Other Financial Responsibilities (25%)

· Record Inventory Journal Entries

· Record/handle Financing Payments

· Filing

· Assist the Office Coordinator with mail

· Partially responsible for incoming phone calls

· Invoicing and Firewall preparation for payroll

· Data Entry for all expenses in bank accounts and credit cards

· Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Finance.

Compensation & Benefits:

· $45,000 - $55,000 base salary

· Profit sharing incentive bonus program
