This fast-paced, physically demanding position requires stamina and repetitive HEAVY LIFTING (often 100 pounds or more), stair climbing, ladder climbing, and furniture moving as well as excellent time management and communication skills. This is a fantastic position for individuals with experience in carpentry, construction, roofing, or landscaping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load/unload trucks, or other vehicles, safely and efficiently to protect coworkers, merchandise, and surroundings
  • Deliver/pickup merchandise to/from customers using the most efficient route possible
  • Complete deliveries, pickups, merchandise assembly, and setup in a timely and safe manner
  • Keep vehicles clean and properly maintained
  • Help design staff stock and rearrange showroom floor
  • Maintain good hygiene and a neat, clean, professional personal appearance
  • Complete paperwork and tag merchandise promptly and accurately
  • Receive, handle, and store merchandise with care
  • Keep warehouse clean and organized, including vacuuming, dusting, and handling household cleaning materials
  • Help keep all store areas clean and organized, including cleaning restrooms, taking out trash, sweeping sidewalks, etc.
  • Communicate kindly and effectively with customers and coworkers
  • Maintain building security
  • Adhere to company policies regarding safety and conduct

Key Qualifications:

  • An excellent driving record (no convictions of DUI, suspension, or revocation in the past seven years) and experience driving a box truck or other commercial vehicle
  • Minimum 1 years of working experience in furniture moving or furniture and/or appliance delivery and furniture uncrating and assembly.
  • Strong customer service and staff support skills including timeliness, patience, and courtesy
  • Ability to team lift and move heavy, bulky furniture such as sleeper sofas and dressers
  • Friendly manner with good communication skills and ability to follow directions
  • Flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings up until 6:15 (occasionally later) and weekends.
  • Valid driver's license with at least five years of driving experience
  • Ability to work weekdays and weekends depending on business needs
  • Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
