Job Description

Hall, a part of MileOne Autogroup, is now hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician for our locations in the Virginia Beach area.

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is an advanced technical trades position. A successful Facilities Maintenance Technician will be a self-starter, be able ability to work independently with little supervision, and have a proven ability to communicate via talk, text and email

Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Leads peer Technicians in the repair of electro-mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Leads peer Technicians in the repair of fixed building structure
  • Abide by all established safety policies, procedures and expectations
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and work loads
  • Excellent working knowledge of computer data entry, e-mail communication and internet research
  • Promote and conduct good housekeeping practices
  • Being self-motivated with a high bar on quality

Physical Demands:

  • Repetitive bending, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, walking and driving
  • Lifting parts and tools weighing up to 40 pounds
  • Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, foot and motions
  • Repetitive flexion and rotation
  • Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces

Qualifications:

  • Flexibility with work schedules in a 24-7 operational environment
  • Advanced experience in preventative maintenance routines, documentation and procedures
  • Advanced experience in the repair of floors, walls, ceilings, roofs, asphalt and concrete surfaces
  • Advanced experience in industrial electro-mechanical systems, plumbing lighting and ventilation
  • Advanced electrical knowledge to include identification and function of: AC/DC circuitry, electrical components and the use of multi-meters to measure Volts, AMPs, OHMs and capacitance
  • Ability to interpret and create schematics, architectural drawings,
  • Competent in MS Office platforms and other computerized maintenance management programs
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Record of advanced training in industrial maintenance or building trades
  • Driving Record with less than 2 moving violations with the ability to operate trailers with heavy external loads
