  • Lead Media Relations: Pitch and secure meaningful earned coverage through proactive storytelling, media outreach, and product placement in national, trade, and regional publications.
  • Manage Awards Submissions: Identify, prepare, and manage award nominations for clients, ensuring strategic alignment and visibility within key industry categories.
  • Plan and Support Events/Expos: Coordinate and oversee PR activities for trade shows, expos, and media events, including press materials, onsite support, and media engagement.
  • Support Brand Partnerships: Collaborate on cross-promotional opportunities and partnerships with other major brands or organizations to drive awareness and strengthen client positioning.
  • Support Influencer Integration: Collaborate with influencer marketing leads to develop and manage creator partnerships that complement PR strategies and amplify brand storytelling.
  • Campaign Planning & Execution: Contribute to quarterly and annual PR planning, ensuring alignment with brand goals, launches, and seasonal opportunities.
  • Content Development: Draft and refine press releases, pitches, talking points, and bylined content to deliver clear, consistent messaging.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze PR results, providing actionable insights and optimization recommendations.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with creative, strategy, and media teams to ensure integrated, cross-channel communications.
  • Mentor Junior Team Members: Provide guidance and feedback to coordinators and specialists, helping to grow the next generation of PR talent.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of public relations experience, preferably in building materials, home improvement, lifestyle, or outdoor living industries.
  • Proven ability to secure earned media coverage in national consumer and trade publications.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with impeccable attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting client accounts within an agency environment.
