PURCHASING MANAGER SUMMARY:
AutoFit Inc. is seeking a dedicated Purchasing Manager with a strong background in procurement and supply chain management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling both routine and complex tasks in a fast-paced environment. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to collaborate with vendors and team members, and a commitment to ensuring efficient purchasing processes. The Purchasing Manager will oversee all aspects of procurement, from vendor relations to order tracking, while ensuring accuracy and timely project execution.

PURCHASING MANAGER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee procurement operations: Manage the entire flow of goods from acquisition to delivery, including purchase order development, tracking, and follow-up to ensure timely order processing.
  • Vendor management: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiate pricing and terms, and handle order cancellations, backorders, and discrepancies.
  • Inventory management: Plan and execute physical inventories of company property, track inventory flow, and ensure records are maintained accurately in the company's database.
  • Database and report management: Enter and update procurement-related data, ensure timely and accurate project reports, and assist with billing processes.
  • Process improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Administrative support: Provide direct support to the COO and procurement team for project management and overall company operations.
  • Budget management: Monitor costs, track expenses, and ensure that all procurement activities align with the company's budget.
  • Team leadership: Train and mentor purchasing staff, manage performance, and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Other duties as assigned: Support additional company initiatives or projects as required by senior management.

PURCHASING MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel and database management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Leadership and team management experience.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Continually required to stand, sit, and walk.
  • Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
  • Continually required to talk and hear.
  • Occasionally required to lift or push items up to 25 lbs.

JOB TYPE: Full-time

SCHEDULE:
Monday-Friday, 8 AM-6 PM, with occasional Saturday shifts from 8 AM-3 PM.

COMPENSATION:
Salary + performance-based commission.
