Position Summary

We seek an accomplished Operations Director/Deputy Director to establish and lead our Silicon Valley operational headquarters. This executive role demands a visionary leader capable of building and scaling operations for one of the world's most promising clean energy companies. As the operational leader for our Silicon Valley base, you will translate strategic vision into operational excellence, ensuring that our innovation engine delivers tangible results.

This position mirrors the scope and impact of senior operational roles at leading EV companies like NIO, requiring a leader who can drive both strategic development and day-to-day execution across our core operations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Operational Excellence

• Develop and execute operational strategy for Gotion's Silicon Valley headquarters, aligning with global business objectives
• Establish operational frameworks and processes to support rapid innovation and scalable growth
• Drive operational excellence across R&D, technology development, and strategic partnerships
• Oversite P&L management and resource allocation for maximum impact

Cross-Functional Integration & Team Building

• Build and lead high-performing teams across multiple operational functions
• Foster collaboration between Silicon Valley operations and global R&D centers
• Develop talent acquisition and retention strategies to attract top Silicon Valley talent
• Create a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement

Global Business Partnership

• Serve as key liaison between Silicon Valley operations and global executive team
• Represent Gotion in strategic partnerships with Silicon Valley tech leaders, investors, and stakeholders
• Drive operational alignment across international locations and time zones
• Ensure seamless integration of Silicon Valley innovations into global operations

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience

• 10+ years of progressive operational leadership experience in technology, automotive, or energy sectors
• Proven track record of building and scaling operations in Silicon Valley/tech environments
• Extensive experience managing cross-functional teams and complex stakeholder relationships
• Background in hardware/software integration, preferably in EV, battery tech, or clean energy

Leadership Competencies

• Strategic visionary with exceptional operational execution capabilities
• Outstanding cross-cultural leadership and communication skills
• Strong business acumen with experience in global matrix organizations
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and drive clarity

Educational Background

• Advanced degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred
• Demonstrated continuous learning and professional development
