Job Description
Omega Products is seeking a Quality Control (QC) Technician who is responsible for conducting quality control tests on a variety of cement-based and resin-based products for the construction industry. Some of the common tasks the technician will perform are: Collecting samples from production, preparing and performing standard operating procedures, and testing raw materials. Other duties may include supporting the Quality Control Supervisor with any requested assistance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare samples.
- Perform laboratory tests per standard operating procedures.
- Ensure the laboratory raw materials are well-stocked and in their proper location.
- Document test results.
- Perform daily tasks to aid in the cleanliness of the lab.
- Follow strict safety protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to use technical equipment with accuracy.
- Attention to detail.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Normal color perception (not color blind).
- Basic computer skills, including using Excel for data entry.
- Bilingual (English - Spanish) is a plus but not required.
Salary
- $21 - $22 per hour with benefits
