Job Summary and Essential Responsibilities:

Observes child/youth and school interactions, provides teaching and training on skill development such as positive social interactions and management of emotions. Works within and communicates with a treatment team of mental and emotional health personnel. Implements specific skills training activities as needed. Under the guidance and direction of supervisor helps develop and facilitate group activities. Provides support, information and teaching, when appropriate, to families and staff that helps them to aid in skill development in all areas of the child/youth's life. Reports on any increase in concerning symptoms exhibited by child/youth and helps manage immediate crisis including danger to self or others and implements crisis intervention plan if necessary. Works collaboratively with school and district teams to meet goals and maintains timely communication with supervisors.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or behavioral science field or an equivalent degree OR a combination of at least three yers of relevant work, education, training, or experience required to perform the job.
