Compensation: $2,500 a month retainer plus commission-based, $60,000 OTE
COURIER Newsroom is looking for a high-performing and motivated sales consultant to deliver regional sales of COURIER's state newsrooms newsletter sponsorships, digital display ads, and social campaigns to local or regional business and organizations in the WI or MI greater area. The consultant will independently prospect, pitch, and close new business and connect creative advertising solutions with local partners who share our values and commitment to strengthening communities.

Scope of Work
- Prospect, pitch, and close advertising partnerships with small businesses, local nonprofits, and community organizations
- Deliver tailored media packages using Courier's newsletter, website, and social inventory
- Deliver renewals and upsells with existing advertisers
- Deliver reports of sales activity and updated pipelines
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in digital media sales, local advertising, or marketing partnerships
- Strong understanding of local business marketing needs and digital advertising solutions (especially newsletters and social media)
- Proven ability as a consult to deliver the full sales cycle — from lead generation through closing and client service
- Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills
- Consultant with the ability to work independently and hit deliverables
- Passion for Courier's mission to strengthen democracy through trusted, local journalism
