Duties

  • Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms to uphold high standards of hygiene and presentation
  • Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and restrooms by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces regularly
  • Care for floors through sweeping, scrubbing, polishing, and applying appropriate treatments to ensure durability and shine
  • Restock supplies such as toiletries, towels, linens, and amenities to ensure guest comfort at all times
  • Follow established protocols for waste disposal and linen handling to promote environmental sustainability and hygiene standards
  • Conduct routine inspections of assigned areas to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report them promptly
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations by using cleaning chemicals properly and maintaining equipment in good working order
  • Assist with special cleaning projects including industrial cleaning tasks or deep cleans during guest turnover periods
  • Support housekeeping management with inventory control and documentation of completed tasks

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in cleaning or custodial roles; hotel experience is highly desirable but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of floor care techniques including sweeping, mopping, polishing, and carpet cleaning
  • Familiarity with janitorial equipment and industrial cleaning tools
  • Strong understanding of hospitality standards and customer service principles
  • Ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and perform repetitive tasks comfortably
  • Prior housekeeping management experience is a plus but not required; leadership qualities are valued for supervisory roles
