Duties

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets, including construction, HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, property maintenance, and related sectors.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to increase sales and market share, leveraging industry knowledge such as HVAC design, schematics, and mechanical expertise.
  • Build strong relationships with prospective clients, service technicians, contractors, and key decision-makers to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Conduct detailed market research to stay ahead of industry trends, including appliance repair, ammonia refrigeration, boiler systems, and field service requirements.
  • Prepare compelling proposals and presentations that clearly articulate the value of our services and solutions.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to understand project scopes involving equipment repair, welding, air conditioning systems, and mechanical components.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals efficiently while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote our brand and identify new opportunities.
  • Maintain detailed records of client interactions, sales pipelines, and project milestones using CRM tools or other tracking systems.

Skills

  • Proven experience in business development within the construction or HVAC industries is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, refrigeration processes, and mechanical knowledge.
  • Hands-on experience as a service technician or in field service roles enhances ability to communicate technical solutions effectively.
  • Familiarity with appliance repair, property maintenance services, air conditioning systems, ammonia refrigeration systems (HVAC/R), boilers, and equipment repair techniques.
  • Ability to read technical schematics and electrical diagrams; proficiency with tools such as ohmmeters is advantageous.
  • Mechanical aptitude combined with welding skills or experience working with complex machinery is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans that align with business goals while fostering customer loyalty.
  • Valid driver's license suitable for driver requirements; willingness to travel as needed for client meetings or site visits.
