**$1000 sign - on bonus ( $250 paid after 3 months, $250 paid after 6 months, $500 paid after 1 year of employment)**

PAY: This position pays $19.50

SHIFT:

1st: 5:45a - 3:00p - Monday to Friday and some Saturday work required

2nd: 3:00p til production complete -Monday to Friday and some Saturday work required

JOB SUMMARY:

The Filler Operator is responsible for ensuring optimum quality products through the operation of the filler for various product sku's following regulatory standards, GMP and food safety guidelines. The filler operators are involved with the following and in this order: Safety, quality, production. The Filler Operator will handle any issues involving weights, production run, loading of filler materials, machine breaks and delays. The filler Operator will be responsible for meeting daily quotas.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBITIES:

  • Ensure all required documentation is clear and legible
  • Complete ALL required documentation in accordance with quality standards including Pre-shift Checklist, Process Control Sheets, Cup Fill Control Sheets
  • Ensure proper packaging materials are used for each product being produced.
  • Monitor weights, seals, cups, and general packaging of product.
  • Clean, set-up, operate and monitor equipment of the production line.
  • Troubleshoot any production or machine downtime issues as they arise
  • Make adjustments to machine as needed to prevent/reduce slow down
  • Perform simple hourly routine maintenance inspections on machine to ensure it is completely functional and safe to operate
  • Evaluate the efficiency of each unit regularly, identifying improvements as needed; Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
  • Report malfunctions or errors to supervisor
  • Perform changeovers in a safe and efficient manner. Prepare equipment for next run to include size changes as needed
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes and production efficiencies
  • Will perform pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment start up
  • Complete cleaning checklist once line has completed run at end of shift (2nd shift)
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures ( SOPs), plant safety regulations, food safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Follows direction from line lead and supervisor

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Protective gear such as gloves, work boots, and smocks required at all times
  • Will work around moving machinery; walking on wet floors
  • Moderate to heavy physical effort required
  • Regularly required to walk, reach, bend and lift for long periods of time throughout the day
  • Must be able to lift up to 50-75 lbs
  • Cold environment degrees)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimal maintenance/mechanical skill
  • Previous filler/machine operating experience required
  • High School Diplomas or equivalent
  • Food manufacturing experience highly preferred
  • Must be able to follow instructions and communicate clearly with coworkers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
  • OSHA Lockout/tag out training

Required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
