Job Title: Unix-Linux Administrator with Ansible Scripting

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (Onsite)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Unix/Linux Administrator with strong hands-on experience in Ansible scripting to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and automating Linux/Unix environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and system security across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, configure, and maintain Unix/Linux servers and environments.
  • Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for infrastructure automation, configuration management, and application deployment.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support environment setup, patches, and upgrades.
  • Contribute to automation strategies to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, and system configurations.

Required Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Unix/Linux (RHEL, CentOS, or other distributions) administration.
  • Proven experience in Ansible scripting and automation.
  • Solid understanding of networking, system security, and shell scripting (Bash, Python preferred).
  • Experience in performance tuning, patching, and system monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management.

Nice to Have:

  • IBM MQ (Message Queue) skills are highly advantageous.
  • Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD environments is a plus.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $ $55.00 per hour
