Key Accountabilities:
Sales & Relationship Management
- Build, nurture, and expand relationships with key utility customers, including procurement and engineering teams.
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets, increasing hit rates and market share.
- Identify, qualify, and convert leads into orders, overseeing the entire sales process to maximize winning probability.
- Develop and present targeted marketing materials, participate in trade shows, and promote company solutions to utilities.
- Act as the primary customer point of contact, ensuring timely communication, technical support, and high satisfaction levels.
Segment Strategy & Implementation
- Identify and develop comprehensive utility segment strategies and business plans to meet assigned sales and profitability targets.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders across engineering, operations, marketing, and finance to proactively address customer needs.
- Drive business intelligence activities, including market positioning, competitive analysis, and SWOT assessments, to inform strategic decisions.
- Monitor and report on market trends, regulatory changes, product developments, and competitive pricing to maintain regional competitiveness.
Technical & Commercial Excellence
- Analyze customer technical and commercial documentation, conduct prequalification processes, and verify technical feasibility.
- Perform risk analyses on projects to ensure alignment with company policies and profitability targets.
- Support techno-commercial optimization initiatives to create competitive advantages and improve hit rates.
- Communicate customer feedback and evolving needs to internal product and sales teams for continuous improvement.
Business Development & Market Analysis
- Identify and secure long-term revenue opportunities based on customer technical and service preferences.
- Analyze installed base, market size, and replacement potential; develop accurate forecasts to drive market share growth.
- Conduct market accessibility studies, including regulatory landscapes, product trends, and sales channel analyses.
- Develop and execute new business models, pricing strategies, and channel partner programs to expand market reach.
- Prepare and maintain detailed sales reports, forecasts, CRM records, and performance updates for leadership.
Competitive & Market Intelligence
- Conduct competitive analyses, including GTM strategies, market share benchmarking, and cost optimization programs.
- Design targeted project criteria and strategies to drive new customer acquisitions and retain existing accounts.
Qualifications:
Years of experience:
10-12 with Transformer Manufacturing background.
Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
Preferred:
- A Master's degree may be advantageous.
- Utilities Market experience within Transformer Business.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing complex sales cycles in the U.S. market.
- Strong knowledge of transformer applications, market regulations, and customer landscape in North America.
